About Beth Janeway Hallyburton

Beth Janeway Hallyburton is the proud artist behind the creation of Cowpernicus, sponsored by Golden Belt Arts for CowParade North Carolina.” align=

I am originally from Winston-Salem, N.C., and have lived in Durham, N.C., for the past 19 years. I attended Wake Forest University where I received a BA in art and later attained a law degree at UNC-Chapel Hill.

I am assistant general counsel in the Global Dispute Resolution & Prevention section of GlaxoSmithKline in RTP. My husband, Robert, is a general contractor, and we have three children, Spencer, Scott, and Julianna.

Art is my passion and hobby. I love to paint and work on mosaics whenever I have the time. Having overcome a serious childhood illness myself, I am thrilled to participate in this benefit for N.C. Children’s Hospital and give something back to miracle workers who dedicate their lives to treating children.

Many thanks to Scientific Properties, owners of Golden Belt, for sponsoring my cow and allowing me to be a part of this unique and rewarding project. Finally, special thanks to my family for their hard work, patience, and support over the past two months while Cowpernicus came to life in our kitchen and driveway. I could not have done it without them.
