Artist Description of Cow

Cowolina on My Mind is a tribute to UNC Chapel Hill. The name and number on the cow’s jersey is a throwback to Charlie “Choo Choo” Justice, with “Moo Moo Justice” emblazoned on the back. This cow is apt to develop an identity crisis thinking it’s a ram . . .

When you click on the pictureof the cow with the state map, you get a different cow–in helment & football uniform, MooMoo Justice!!

  2. Julie Jarvis says:

The cow on the main page with all the cow pictures (that takes you to this page) Is showing the cow North Cowalina rather than Cowalina on My Mind (the picture above is correct).

Also a word about finding this cow.

This cow is BEHIND THE GATES at Kenan Stadium. If you go on a day when the gates are closed, you will not be able to get close enough to see it or take a picture. Unless you are a HUGE UNC fan, I was not terribly impressed by this cow so you might choose to see Ramooses instead which is easily accessible off of Franklin Street and looks very similar.
